The Wondrous Blessing
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights. The anticipation of a new birth to a family is sometimes overwhelming. The birth brings excitement, happiness and complete joy to all of the family and friends. I cannot begin to express to you what a joy the birth of my new granddaughter has brought to my life. She means the world to all of us, such a beautiful treasure. She was prayed for and prayed over by so many people. God has truly blessed us with her arrival. Read the words of my daughter, Jacki, concerning the birth of her baby girl: “Born 1/13/13 – 1 Corinthians 13:13( NLT) Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. - - I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I have witnessed His power in the creation of life. And He did it all for love. We love because He FIRST loved us. Praise God!”
It is such a blessing to a mother to hear or see her child use God’s Word to express her joy with His gifts. There is no joy that will ever compare to seeing your children follow the Lord.
The tragedies of Summer 2010 and a previous miscarriage prior to this pregnancy took a toll on our family. Winter 2013 has brought a restoration to our family. My husband and I are raising our son’s two beautiful, but rowdy, boys and God has blessed us with our first granddaughter. She entered this life on the Lord’s Day, 2013. As my daughter and her husband were selecting names, they chose to name her after my mom, Jacki’s grandmother, who had passed away in 2010. Wow, what a gift! I was speechless and thrilled. The day Miss Emma entered this world, Jacki expressed, “I bet Grandma is so excited”. I exclaimed “I know she is! I can just see her jumping from cloud to cloud shouting the news of her beautiful namesake”!
God is so good to us. I declare that this year, our family received a wonderful miracle in the form of Miss Emma Lenn. A true gift of God’s Amazing Grace!
May God Receive All Glory and All Praise
