Lady of Strength
Allow God to show you the Lady of
strength within yourself. The one perhaps you do not know exists. (I know I did
not).
Careful to not strive to be a lady that says I am strong I can do anything!
The true lady of strength knows she must rely on God not herself for every aspect of life!
God gave me the term “Humble Confidence” years ago and I have it written everywhere and keep it handy at all times. It simply means, I am totally confident that everything God desires for me to do today He has already equipped me to do and is sending others to assist where needed.
Philippians 4:13 (KJV) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
What does the world look for as strength?
1. Physical strength: the physical power to carry out demanding tasks
2. Emotional Strength: the necessary qualities required to deal with stressful or painful situations
3. Source of Strength: a source of strength or support
4. Resistance Strength: the ability to withstand force, pressure, or stress
Strength is measured in our world by what one can do. Yet in the scripture when we see strength it is very clear that it has an outside source, and that source is God.
When we rely on our strength we will soon find out our strength is only as good as its source and since our source is ourselves, and being human we are frail, our strength is small, regardless of the volume of muscle structure.
Therefore, to be a Lady of strength it is very important that we realize our source is Jesus Christ and we are to tap into our source daily.
God has given me the privilege of meeting a vast array ladies over the years, and I must say the ones that impressed me most and drew my attention was the ones who had obvious heart for God.
To be totally honest I have very little time for people who are fake, status driven, glory hounds, I would rather dig a ditch with a tooth pick then spend 5 minutes with someone who is as the Bible calls it “high-minded”. They want to talk about their favorite subject or something that will bring them more attention, like what they know and more importantly, who they know! I get very bored with those types of conversations.
It is amazing how true the Bible us how to live and deal with earthy things.
Genesis 2:17 (KJV) But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
God commanded Adam and Eve to not eat from the tree of knowledge, and we boast about what God told them to avoid. I’m not saying we need to be ignorant, I’m saying we should not be boastful.
A Lady of strength walks in Humble Confidence and does not boast of the Virtues she has.
Do you strive to be a Lady of Strength, or do you boast in the fact that you believe you are a Strong Lady?
