BEING A STUDENT FOR LIFE
We have all heard the phrase "knowledge is power!" It is true,
education gives you an edge on everything because you will have the ability to
choose wisely in life. However, few are willing to do what it takes to seek
true knowledge. Instead, they either follow what they have heard or simply find
something else to do with their lives.
We challenge our readers to get into the scriptures, books, etc. and search out what they are being taught to make sure it is correct. Instructors generally appreciate the fact that their students are seeking truth. However, not all will, but don't let that discourage you.
God tells us to search His Word for truth, and gives examples of those who did.
II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
This is true in every aspect of life, it doesn't matter where or from whom you are seeking knowledge. Seek the truth, research and find what is correct. Some of the greatest pitfalls in today's society came from following leaders that have no idea how to lead, they were just seeking the spotlight and have led many astray.
We are not suggesting you rebel against authority, but simply to confirm complete truth in all matters, regardless the source.
