Forgiveness For The Oppressed
There are times when I desperately feel the need to spend time with God, only to find that my mind is so cluttered with demands that need to be met and my mind is going in a million directions. This state of mind brings me to an overloaded and oppressed spirit. To not only have the great desire but also the need to be in his presence and fellowship with him.
Sometimes we have to force ourselves to relax and take time out for ourselves, not let others or even ourselves burden our minds with daily tasks of difficulties. Lay them down at the feet of Jesus, and don't allow the Devil to get into your mind and attempt to make you feel guilty for taking time out for your relationship with God. Forgive yourself, lay your burdens down and let him restore your strength.
Psalm 9:9-10 (KJV) 9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
